Broccoli & Cauliflower Puree

Ingredients

  • 50g broccoli florets
  • 50g cauliflower florets
  • 3 tbsp Baby's usual milk

Method

  1. Wash the cauliflower and broccoli thoroughly and cut both in half.
  2. Boil the florets with a small amount of water until tender or alternatively steam them for approx. 10-13 minutes until soft.
  3. Drain, allow to cool slightly and add in the milk.
  4. Blend until runny and smooth or at desired consistency. Add more or less liquid as required.

Tip

Steaming vegetables allows more nutrient retention than other cooking methods. When boiling, only use as much water as necessary and don’t overcook to minimise nutrient losses.
