BENEFIT

Eggs are a great addition to your toddler’s diet as they contain iron and protein and also are one of the few dietary sources of vitamin D which is important for healthy bones.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 Banana (small)
  • Handful mixed berries (e.g raspberries and blueberries)

Directions

  1. Heat a saucepan of water until boiling. Add in the egg and boil for about 5 minutes until hard boiled.
  2. Peel the hard-boiled egg and slice it in half lengthwise. Place the egg, yolk side up, at the top of a plate.
  3. Peel the banana and place on the bottom of the plate to form a smiley mouth.
  4. Place 1 blueberry in the centre of the plate, and 2 raspberries on either side to form a nose and rosy cheeks.
  5. Place the remaining berries in a bowl and serve.
