Breastfeeding is best for your baby and provides many benefits.

Breastfeeding is best for babies and provides many benefits. It is important that, in preparation for and during breastfeeding, you eat a healthy, balanced diet. Combined breast and bottle feeding in the first weeks of life may reduce the supply of your own breastmilk, and reversing the decision not to breastfeed is difficult. The social and financial implications of using an infant milk should be considered. Improper use of an infant milk or inappropriate foods or feeding methods may present a health hazard.

If you use an infant milk, you should follow manufacturer’s instructions for use carefully – failure to follow the instructions may make your baby ill. Always consult your doctor, midwife or health visitor for advice about feeding your baby.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON OUR RECENT FORMULATION CHANGE

We have been listening to parents' feedback about our latest formulation and would like to provide reassurance that the new Aptamil formula is safe, well tolerated and is our most advanced formula yet. The ingredients are the same but the process has changed to further support bottle fed babies. This process has been used safely in infant formula in other countries for some time. Whilst most babies have smoothly transitioned onto the new formula, we are sorry to hear that some babies have been unsettled during this transition period.

As part of this new formulation we have introduced new on-pack instructions and following these instructions is important. We have created a video demonstrating the new on-pack instructions to parents which is available here.

The safety and quality of our products is our number one priority and we would like to reassure parents that all our products go through strict safety and quality checks and are safe to consume. We are here to support you if you are having any challenges during this transition.
