It is a good idea to have your hospital bag packed and ready to go well before your due date.
However, while you may feel the need and urge to pack as if you are going away on a two week holiday – be careful – most maternity hospitals limit the amount of items and what you can bring into the hospital.
It may be a good idea to prepare two bags. One for labour and one for your partner, friend or family member to bring in when you need it
We have created a handy Hospital Checklist to help you pack your bag and make sure that you don’t forget any essentials.
Have a look at the video Sinead our Midwife has created, detailing all the things that you need to pack in your hospital bag.
