BENEFIT

Two slices of this bread contains fibre to prevent constipation*, iron for your baby’s brain development and is high in calcium for your baby’s growing bones.

Ingredients

  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 225g wholemeal flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2g salt
  • 125ml low fat natural yogurt
  • 300ml semi-skimmed milk

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 150°C.
  2. Grease a loaf tin.
  3. Place self-raising flour, wholemeal flour, salt and baking powder into a large bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
  5. Pour this mixture into the flour and mix through.
  6. Pour in the yoghurt and mix again until dough comes together.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes until risen.
