Sweet Potato Fries

BENEFIT

These tasty fries feel like a treat while still being good for you. They are high in vitamin C and Vitamin E to support your immune system. They are also a source of Iron for your baby’s brain development.

Ingredients

  • 3 sweet potatoes (medium)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli power
  • 2g black pepper (seasoning)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Peel and wash the sweet potatoes.
  3. Chop into thin chip shaped pieces.
  4. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  5. Place the chopped sweet potatoes into a zip-lock bag.
  6. Add in the oil and the seasoning. (Adding more if you prefer a spicier flavour).
  7. Seal the bag and rub until seasoning coats most of the fries.
  8. Spread the fries out on the baking tray, only one layer thick.
  9. Place in the oven, bake for 25-30 minutes flipping halfway through.
