Breastfeeding is best for babies and provides many benefits. It is important that, in preparation for and during breastfeeding, you eat a healthy, balanced diet. Combined breast and bottle feeding in the first weeks of life may reduce the supply of your own breastmilk, and reversing the decision not to breastfeed is difficult. The social and financial implications of using an infant milk should be considered. Improper use of an infant milk or inappropriate foods or feeding methods may present a health hazard.
If you use an infant milk, you should follow manufacturer’s instructions for use carefully – failure to follow the instructions may make your baby ill. Always consult your doctor, midwife or health visitor for advice about feeding your baby.

Care. It may be a small word, but it’s the most important part of what we do.
Our new range of Aptamil follow-on and growing-up powdered milks is inspired by 40 years of breastmilk research. It introduces an advanced process that works together with our unique blend of ingredients including our patented mixture of GOS:FOS, in combination with vitamin D which helps support the normal function of your baby’s immune system.
Extensively quality and safety checked, our new formulation has been subject to 12 clinical tests. Each batch then receives a further 31 tests before it reaches the shelf.
Every baby is different, and some may need time to adapt to changes to their feeding. If you want to find out more or have any questions, you can call us on 1800 22 12 34 for support from midwives, nutritionists and feeding advisors. Our opening hours are 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday.
