So as you can gather from my first pregnancy (you can check part 1 out here), I’m a pretty short, curvy girl that makes pregnancy an interesting challenge to dress while avoiding the classic pregnant mu-mu look.

On the upside of pregnancy number 2, you do have some maternity clothes that you can resurrect for the nine months ahead. And I did find that the rumours are true – for round two, the bump started to show a lot earlier. Though as usual, for those first few months, it did look like I was eating my feelings rather than looking like I was actually pregnant.

Given that there’s less time to shop, I did find with pregnancy number two I did even more shopping online. And I maximised the return policies, returning items if it didn’t suit. Good ol’ trial and error.

maternity clothes, pregnancy clothes, shopping maternity wear has even more selection than my first pregnancy where I found some great dresses, tops and work trousers. COS dresses were still my go-to for the nine months – and I was blessed that the season when I got in had some brilliantly loud coloured tops that worked so well with my Asos trousers and some strong modern jewellery. Jewellery was a total winner this time around. Amazing how the same outfit looks different with chunky necklaces in a range of colours.

Sadly M&S don’t do their amazing pregnancy tights anymore, but I did find that JoJoMamanBebe did some good hosiery which you can get online. And while M&S don’t do the tights, they still do some great underwear that lasted me well during the pregnancy.
