I have a friend’s wedding coming up soon and am desperately trying to find something to wear to it. My tummy area is my big problem; I just don’t feel comfortable in anything. I went to House of Fraser in Dundrum shopping centre the other evening; my husband announced ‘we’ll all go’! Big mistake on my part agreeing to that one, ha ha!!

It was going fine; he took kids off while I had a look around. Then he came back just as I was about to go to the changing room, arms full with dresses. Jack wanted to stay with me so my husband went off again with Jessica in the pram. I tried on the first few dresses and then Jack started getting bored, he then decided to undress himself too… you can imagine the dressing room cubicles aren’t that big so we are crammed in and he is now down to his underwear!! I kept trying my dresses, as I just wanted to get out, next thing his socks were off and finally his pants!!! You can imagine the commotion in the cubicle. I’d say the girl standing outside didn’t know what was going on!

Needless to say I didn’t get a dress, ha ha! But I have booked in with their personal shopper, which is a great service by the way if you haven’t heard about it. Its free, she brings you into her own private dressing room and after you tell her what you need, you sit down on the sofa and relax while she runs around House of Fraser and brings things back in for you to try on. You don’t have to buy if you don’t find anything and even if you do buy and change your mind later you can return it with a receipt!

They also do a buy and collect service if you don’t have time to go to the shop to look around. Go to their website (its UK) you buy whatever you like and get it delivered to the shop for free, so you just have to go there to collect it. You can go straight into the changing room and try it on and if doesn’t suit, just go back to the same desk and they refund your card. So it just means you can do the browsing from the comfort of your own sofa at home. Their UK website also has more brands available than in store here, so much better choice too.

Anyway, the search continues for a dress, but next time I’m going alone!
