I’ve been keeping Jack at home the odd day or two instead of sending him to crèche – some may say it’s my excuse to get the arts and crafts box out, ha ha! I think I enjoy it just as much as him. He loves getting messy painting his hands/feet (or face!). I found a pack of white paper plates in the press, so I googled paper plate crafts and got loads of ideas! Paper plates and toilet rolls seem to be an essential for every arts and crafts session. The picture is just some of the paper plates we created; we also did farm animals e.g. sheep (you need a load of cotton wool!), pigs, cows and chicks.
So if you are looking for some ideas to entertain your toddler, get some paint, googly eyes (they love them), and let them get messy! I framed his hand and foot prints in some cheap Ikea frames, put the date on them and they now hang in his bedroom – I love them!
Now anytime I come across an idea I save it on my phone for use on a rainy day!
I am hooked on the website/app called Pinterest, the DIY & Crafts or Kids sections always have loads of ideas to keep kids entertained.
