What is different with the new updated Aptamil formulations?

There have been changes to the mandatory levels of some vitamins, minerals and other nutrients to meet the requirements of the updated legislation.  One of the key changes in the updated legislation is the mandatory inclusion of DHA, a type of Omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 LCPs form a key part of a healthy diet.

Our old Aptamil infant and follow on formulas already contained DHA* but you may notice an increase in the levels. These changes only apply to infant, follow-on and specialist milks.

Growing Up milks are unaffected by the legislative changes however our Aptamil Growing Up Milk Powder Stages 3 & 4 are also being updated to now include Omega-3 (DHA).

As a result of the changes, you and your baby may notice some small differences in the smell, appearance or taste of the products but this is completely normal.

*DHA: docosahexaenoic acid
