Our Accessibility Commitment

Aptaclub is committed to ensuring that all the content and information on its websites are accessible to everyone. As a result, we have designed and built www.aptaclub.ie in accordance with guidelines set-out by the Web Accessibility Initiative.

Our accessibility commitment means that:

  • It should be possible to resize text using the text-resize option in your browser.
  • We have written alternative text that describes each image.
  • A navigation bar can be found at the top of each page – this links to all the main sections of the website.
  • We have tested this website to ensure that it can be viewed in a variety of web browsers.
  • If you choose to use your own style sheet, you can change the appearance of the site without affecting its readability or accessibility.

Keyboard access

  • To make the site easier to navigate if you are using a keyboard, a ‘skip to main content’ link on every page enables you to access the main content for that page.
  • To avoid conflicts with shortcuts used for other programs, keyboard shortcuts are not provided for site pages.

  • Page style and presentation has been developed using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
  • If you have turned-off style sheets support or your browser does not support CSS, it will still be possible to read information on the site.

  • Using the W3C mark-up validator, all XHTML on this website should validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict.
  • You should be able to validate all style sheets using the W3C CSS validator.
  • Pages on this website comply with all relevant priority 1 and 2 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
